About the programme

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs assists aspiring European entrepreneurs in acquiring the skills needed to launch and/or effectively manage a small business in Europe. New entrepreneurs come together to exchange knowledge and business concepts with a seasoned entrepreneur, with whom they reside and collaborate for a period ranging from 1 to 6 months.

The stay is partially funded by the European Commission.

    In what ways will you benefit from this?

    A residency of up to six months alongside a seasoned entrepreneur in a different Participating Country to acquire direct experience in various aspects of business initiation, including marketing/sales, financial management, client engagement, and corporate finance.

    Grant for you stay abroad! Financial assistance for new entrepreneurs covers travel and living expenses during their stay. This support is disbursed by the local contact point selected by the entrepreneur through the online application process.

    Over the long term, you will enjoy extensive networking prospects and may even opt to sustain your collaboration, possibly evolving into long-term business partnerships (such as joint ventures, subcontracting arrangements, or supplier relationships).

    „Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs” is funded by the European Commission and operates throughout the Participating Countries with assistance from local contact points specializing in business support.

    Can You apply as a young entrepreneur?

    Eligibility for the program is open to aspiring entrepreneurs under the following conditions:

    • You are committed to establishing a new venture with a solid business plan in place; OR
    • Your entrepreneurial experience does not exceed three years. There are no restrictions on the industry of your (prospective) business nor any age limits, provided all applicants are at least 18 years old.

    Additionally, candidates must:

      • Reside permanently in any of the Participating Countries;
      • Possess a viable project or business concept documented in a business plan;
      • Show enthusiasm and a willingness to work alongside an experienced entrepreneur in a different Participating Country; demonstrate a readiness to share your expertise and skills to benefit the host entrepreneur’s business;
      • Be prepared to supplement the program’s funding if necessary to cover your expenses during the international experience.
